lb. lean, beef top sirloin
1 ¼ c water
1 c brown rice(ready in 10 minutes
brand)
2 green onions, with tops, cut
into short strips
1 lg clove garlic, minced
2T soy sauce
1T ginger
2 t oil
1 t sesame oil (optional)
1 green pepper, cut into strips
Cut
meat into 1x1/8 strips. Toss
with ginger, garlic and , if
desired, oil. Heat oil in 10
inch skillet over medium high
heat. Stir fry meat till no
longer pink.
Remove and set aside. Add water
and soy sauce to skillet. Bring
to a boil. Stir in rice; reduce
heat. Cover and simmer 8 minutes.
Stir in pepper strips. Cover
and simmer 2 minutes or till
liquid is absorbed. Stir in
meat and onion, heat through.
