Intensity: Great energy, strength, concentration, or vehemence, as relating to an activity. Or, how hard your workout is

Interval training: Measured periods of work followed by measured periods of rest (i.e., 1 minute sprint followed by 2 minutes of walking). You are in charge of the intervals and how hard you work during the work sets. If you're a beginner, you can walk at an easy pace for 3 minutes then up the incline and speed for one minute to push yourself past your comfort zone. Interval training is a great way to change your routine, increase resutls and burn more calories.

Isometric contraction: A contraction in which a muscle exerts force but does not change in length. Isometric contractions are common in activities such as yoga and stretching.
